adela muhic is a bosnian-american poet. she was born in tuzla, bosnia & herzegovina. her family came to america as refugees in 2001 escaping the aftermath of the balkan wars. the struggles that adela and her family had to overcome while adjusting to their newfound life in america were the main fonts of inspiration that led her to start writing poetry; channeling her hardships into writing. these short poems that she found an escape in would later become the manuscript for her freshman poetry book titled “boxed memories”.

“boxed memories” was released august of 2019 and peaked into amazon’s top 20 best-sellers list overnight.
