The BiH Memories Foundation is born out of a passionate pursuit to inspire, support, and create positive change where it's needed most. Our Unique Approach

At the BiH Memories Foundation, we take pride in our distinctive approach to addressing the pressing issues faced by vulnerable members of society. Our projects are carefully designed, with a keen focus on four critical areas that hold the key to a brighter future for Bosnian children.

Orphanages

Orphaned children are among the most vulnerable, grappling with challenges arising from the lack of proper care, nourishment, and security. Bosnia's orphanages often struggle due to inadequate funding from government programs, making it a daily battle to provide the children with their basic necessities. We are dedicated to partnering with these orphanages, crafting projects that ensure every child has access to life's essentials.

Schools

In a country where a significant portion of the population lives in poverty, parents often find it challenging to provide their children with the necessary tools for education — backpacks, supplies, and even school lunches. Moreover, there are schools in remote areas that are often overlooked. Our commitment is to bridge this gap. By identifying and assisting these schools, we ensure that children can focus on their studies without the burden of unmet basic needs.

Mekteb (Islamic Sunday School)

We firmly believe that no parent should ever have to choose between providing school supplies for their children or allowing them to attend mekteb (Islamic Sunday School). To alleviate this burden, we collaborate closely with mektebs in underprivileged villages. Working hand-in-hand with the mosque's imam, we provide all children with the necessary supplies to continue their religious education without any hindrance.

Disability Centers

Children with disabilities encounter unique challenges, including limited access to education due to inadequate facilities in Bosnian schools. Even the few disability centers that exist often struggle to secure the necessary funding from the government. The BiH Memories Foundation is wholeheartedly committed to creating projects that equip these centers with the essential resources they need to support all the children under their care.
